冈本视频 Regents Build Reserve Fund

冈本视频 regents voted to set aside $7.18 million in funding in reserve funds during their meeting on March 26.

The reserve included $6.3 million from the unrestricted funds plus $546,543 from interest earnings. The funds were put towards the college鈥檚 capital reserve and institutional reserve funds.

鈥淭his is a culmination of many years making a concerted effort to put away funds and increase the balance of those accounts,鈥 said regent Mike Pyburn. 鈥淲e are a safe investment. This will open the door to so many opportunities.鈥

In other action, the regents heard a report on enrollment for the spring semester from Pat Sanger, executive director of Institutional Effectiveness and Research. The report showed that 冈本视频 an enrollment of 6,119 students for the Spring semester which is a 7.3 percent increase from Spring 2025.

鈥(This semester) is our highest Spring enrollment ever,鈥 Sanger said.

The increase is due in part because of the growing Bachelor鈥檚 in Business Degree that launched two years ago.

The board also approved a $421,810 contract with McCune Electrical Services to begin testing of electrical systems on campus. The testing part of a $30 million maintenance note for campus upgrades approved in 2025.

The maintenance note will fund much-needed upgrades to aging infrastructure on campus including water lines, HVAC systems, facilities updates, landscaping and exterior improvements.

Regents also:

-approved contract with DataVox Inc. for campus phone upgrades and IT network security

-approved annual renewal of insurance rates

-approved monthly financial reports

-approved cancellation of the May general election

-approved hires for a business analyst and admissions counselor

The board will have its next meeting on April 23 at 6 p.m. in the Nolan Ryan Center.
